The Interprofessional Commission of Ohio is a non-profit agency 501(c)(3) of helping professions housed within the College of Education & Human Ecology at The Ohio State University. The Commission offers a variety of interprofessional opportunities, programs, and services for persons in the helping professions to address complex social, ethical, clinical, and public policy issues.
VISION
The Interprofessional Commission of Ohio envisions a world in which concerned citizens reach beyond the bounds of their various professions to work collaboratively on critical and complex challenges presented by a global society.
MISSION
The mission of the Interprofessional Commission of Ohio is to:
- Teach the values, skills and knowledge necessary for interprofessional collaboration;
- Establish a Network of informed individuals, organizations and communities committed to and engaged in interprofessional collaboration;
- Investigate and contribute to the knowledge base about interprofessional collaboration;
- Advocate for an interprofessional approach to address complex ethical issues.
WHAT WE DO
Through online learning communities, technological assistance in collaboration, university graduate courses, policy analysis panels, consultation on individual projects, grant partnerships and management, program development and research, and continuing professional education, the ICO serves as a bridge between the academic and professional communities and facilitates interprofessional dialogue throughout the state and nation.

The ICO is pleased to annouce the re-funding and expansion of the ROX- Ruling Our eXperiences program! ROX is an empowerment program for girls currently operating in the Columbus City Schools that focuses on self-esteem, body image, leadership, career development, and sexual violence prevention.
